Greenpeace
Greenpeace is a non-governmental environmental organisation, founded in 1971 to "ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity".ref It campaigns on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear.
Greenpeace has traditionally used direct action, lobbying, research, and ecotage[6] to achieve its goals. However, since the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report in 2018,ref, it has begun to adopt a policy of disruption,ref along similar lines to that of Extinction Rebellion. We are all in a fight for our lives.
Funding: Greenpeace does not accept funding from govts, corporations, or political parties, relying on citizens' donations and foundation grants.AR-2018,p.34
